Aquarium Depot makes a habit of NOT selling sick or unhealthy fish, and we do everything possible to make sure that the transition of your new pets from our tanks to yours is easy and smooth. Below is our 48 Hour Fish Guarantee Policy and some helpful tips that you may wish to follow to make sure your new pets live long and healthy lives.
Before you buy your Fish
- Make sure your tank is Set-up Properly (Correct Temperature, Filters Working, etc)
- If it is an established Tank, do a water change a few days before buying New fish to be sure conditions are correct.
- Bring in a Water Sample so we can test the Water Quality before purchasing your new Fish.
On the Way Home....
Your new pets have a limited air supply in the Bag, please take them directly home.
Please leave them in the Bag, looking at them on the way home stresses the fish out.
In Winter, please keep the bag warm on the way home.
In Summer, please keep the bag out of Direct Sunlight and avoid high temperatures.
48Hour Fish Guarantee
If you should lose a Fish, in order to get a replacement Fish we need THREE THINGS...
- A Sample of Water from your Aquarium (seperate from the Dead Fish)
- The Dead Fish - in a baggie (seperate from the Water sample)
- Your Dated Register Receipt.

Absolutely No Guarantee on Aggressive Fish (they sometimes fight, damage, and kill each other)
Absolutely No Guarantee on Feeder Fish (they are FOOD and NOT pets, meant to be used immediately)
Absolutely No Guarantee on Saltwater Fish, Invertabrates over $20
Absolutely No Guarantee on Live corals . They were healthy when you chose them from our tanks.
Absolutely No Guarantee on Freshwater Fish Over $20.00
Absolutely No Guarantee on Freshwater Plants (we can not test water parameters to determine cause of death, lighting source, plant foode source, ect..)
Fish Replacement limited to same Fish, sorry absolutely No Refunds, replacement only. Also
please ask us if the Fish or Invertabrate is Guaranteed before you PURCHASE..

Aquarium Depot Guarantee's a 100% money back guarantee on any UNOPEN dry goods, equipment, and supplies within 14Days of Purchase. After 14Days you will be charged a 15% Restocking Fee.
SPECIAL ORDERS: We have a 25% Restocking Fee on any Special Order Items We do not carry regularly in STOCK.. (Factory seal not broken)
If you should need to return something, in order to get a refund we need TWO THINGS...
- The Item you purchased UNOPEN (factory seal not broken, no PHYSICAL damage to item or box
- Your Dated Register Receipt.

Absolutely No Refund on OPEN or USED Products. (if you purchased equipment such as filters,heaters,air pumps, ect... and it becomes damaged within 7days we may offer partial STORE Credit back depending on item and situation.
